Weekend TV Recap: Traitors, Nosferatu, and More Must-Watch Shows
Hey everyone,
Welcome to this week’s TV recap, where we dive into what we’ve been watching, loving, and side-eyeing. Whether you’re into messy reality TV, period horror, or prestige dramas, there’s something for you in this roundup. Plus, if you’re looking for ways to save on streaming services, we’ve got some tips for that too!
Traitors US: The Drama Continues
This season of Traitors US has been a ride. If you’ve been watching, you know exactly what we mean. Danielle’s chaotic gameplay, the betrayals, the ridiculous overacting—it's giving “Rotten Tomato” instead of an Oscar-worthy performance. Somehow, she's still in the game despite questionable strategy and over-the-top theatrics.
This season feels different from past ones. The American version leans heavily into celebrity casting, featuring Big Brother, Survivor, and Real Housewives alums, along with some wild card picks (including, apparently, a token British contestant every season). It's a mix of OG reality TV veterans and total wildcards, which makes for an unpredictable game.
With only one traitor left, the question is: Who will be recruited next? Will it be Brittany? And will Danielle throw her under the bus when things inevitably get messy? Our guess: absolutely. But at this point, the faith in a traitor pulling off a win seems low. It’s been a season of bad moves, backstabbing, and no strategy. And yet…we keep watching.
Who do you want to win? Are you still as invested now that Carolyn is gone?
Movie Night: Nosferatu & The Monkey
Switching gears from reality chaos to horror—this weekend included a trip to the movies for The Monkey, the latest adaptation of a Stephen King short story from Skeleton Crew. Imagine Final Destination meets Goosebumps—it's more of a dark comedy horror than straight-up scary. If you’re curious, grab a copy of Skeleton Crew and check out The Mist while you’re at it.
On the streaming side, Nosferatu is finally available. This one is more of a period drama with a vampire twist rather than an action-heavy horror flick. The cinematography is stunning (it was filmed in Prague), and if you're a fan of gothic atmosphere, it’s worth a watch. Plus, fun fact: the original Nosferatu screenplay was literally sued for copyright infringement by Bram Stoker’s widow over its blatant rip-off of Dracula. Despite winning in court, the Stoker estate never got a dime. Messy, right?
If you’re planning to watch Nosferatu and don’t already have Peacock, wait until March 21st—that’s when Wicked drops on the platform. You can catch both on a free trial or through bundle deals. Speaking of which…
Streaming Hacks: How to Watch for Less
Want to save on streaming services? Here are a few tips:
Max, Hulu, & Disney+ Bundle → $20 with ads, $30 ad-free.
Peacock Free via Instacart+ → If you have Instacart, you might already have access.
Peacock Free via Xfinity → Comcast customers may have it included.
Wait for Free Trials → If you’re interested in Wicked, time your Peacock trial to watch it along with Nosferatu and The Monkey.
Other TV Highlights: White Lotus & The Pit
White Lotus (Max) – Southern charm meets satirical luxury drama. The current season allegedly draws inspiration from Southern Charm—the reality show—so if you know, you know.
The Pit (Max) – A high-intensity docuseries following real ER doctors through 24-hour shifts in Pittsburgh. It’s raw, gruesome, and gripping.
